C'EST LA RENTREE

En espérant que vos vacances furent à la hauteur de vos espérances et que vous avez fait le plein de soleil pour l'automne déjà présent en région Parisienne.
Je profite de ce message de rentrée pour remercier celles et ceux qui m'envoient de nombreux messages d'encouragement et qui me lisent régulièrement et j'ajoute que ça me fait très plaisir.
Je ne crois avoir oublié personne et avoir répondu à tous les messages qu'ils soient sur le blog ou à mon adresse mail.
Si ça n'était pas le cas vous pouvez protester haut et fort sur le blog,il n'y a aucune censure.
Dans la semaine qui va suivre(j'espère) je vais publier un sujet sur le prêt à porter tel que je l'ai vu faire et tel que je voudrai qu'il soit aujourd'hui.
J'expliquerai les différentes phases de patronage d'abord et le travail considérable que ça représente avec tous les patrons nécessaires pour la réalisation.
Je ferai tout au long de cet exposé un parallèle avec la mesure en expliquant les différences de façon de faire et pourquoi .
J'expliquerai également comment et pourquoi nous allons utiliser le thermo n'en déplaise à mes détracteurs qui ne jurent que par le "traditionnel" sans connaitre ses avantages et en répétant docilement ce qu'on veut bien leur dire.
Messieurs vous pouvez sortir vos flèches !!!
En fait je souhaite un prêt à porter "façon mesure"de par ma formation.
J'espère qu'il sera digne des SULKA,HILDITCH ou LANVIN des grandes années et qu'il verra le jour très bientot.

Back from vacation, to Paris’ rapidly developing fall.

I’d like to thank all of you who have sent me so many messages of encouragement and who read me regularly, which touches me deeply.

I hope I haven’t forgotten anyone and have replied to all the messages posted on my blog or sent to my email address. If not, please do let me know on the blog – I don’t bite.

In the next week or so, I will post a few words on ready-to-wear as I’ve seen it done and as I’d like to see it done. I will explain the different steps of patternmaking first and the considerable amount of work it represents with all of the patterns needed to make a shirt. I will also compare this to the process of custom shirtmaking and explain the differences between the steps taken in ready-to-wear shirtmaking and custom shirtmaking, and why. I will also explain how and why we use fusing in a shirt collar, despite my detractors who swear by the “traditional” methods without knowing the advantages of fusing, and who simply repeat what they have been told. The knives are out!

In fact I would like to see a ready-to-wear shirt line made to bespoke standards, up to the standards that I was trained to. I hope it would be up to the standards of Sulka, Hilditch & Key Paris, or Lanvin in the days of their glory, and that such a line will see the day soon.

Надеюсь на следующей неделе написать несколько слов о “готовых” рубашках – какими они были когда-то, и какими я хотел бы их видеть в будущем. Расскажу о различных этапах создания выкройки и покажу, какой это трудоёмкий процесс. Кроме того, я сравню создание выкроек для готовых “рубашек” и тех, что шьются на заказ; покажу и объясню в чём между ними разница. Наконец, уделю внимание использованию клеевых воротничков и манжет. Вы увидите, почему они превосходят неклеевые – несмотря на хор защитников “традиции”, зачастую просто не понимающих, о чём они говорят! Ножницы обнажены!

Я хотел бы увидеть линию “готовых” рубашек, сшитых по стандартам bespoke. Стандартам, которым научили меня. Надеюсь, что когда-нибудь появятся рубашки, не уступающие продукции “золотых дней” Sulka, Hilditch & Key Paris и Lanvin.
