La prise de mesure de l'encolure s'effectue à l'emplacement exact du col.
La mesure est réelle COMME TOUTES LES MESURES CONCERNANT LA CHEMISE.
Je sais que certains coupeurs glissent l'index à l'intérieur du centimètre pour avoir l'aisance dès la prise de mesure.
Pour ma part,je préfère calculer la souplesse après car je part du principe que suivant la position du doigt la mesure peut être faussée.
Le 1er réflex du client est de dire qu'il est serré et toute la diplomatie du coupeur consiste à le rassurer en lui expliquant que c'est une mesure "sur la peau" mais que le confort sera là.



THE COLLAR
Collar size is measured at the exact location of the collar.

The measurement is the actual measurement like ALL of the measurements for a shirt. I know certain cutters who slide their index finger inside the tape in order to provide a bit of room in the sizing. For my part, I prefer to factor in some room afterwards, since I believe that based on the position of the finger, the measurement could be distorted. Customers do sometimes complain that the tape is too tight, and the cutter must use all his diplomacy to reassure the customer that the measurement is taken “on the skin,” but the finished shirt will be comfortable.

Размер снимается ровно в том месте, где должен быть воротничок рубашки. Эта мерка должна быть точным измерением обхвата шеи, без всяких припусков. Я знаю, что некоторые закройщики вставляют между метром и шеей указательный палец. Я же предпочитаю думать о коррекции размера позже, так как положение пальца может повлиять на точность измерений. Некоторые клиенты жалуются, что метр лежит слишком плотно; в таких случаях закройщик должен применить весь возможный такт и объяснить клиенту, что готовая рубашка будет комфортной.
